Handy baking swaps and tips: |
- Dried fruit – try swapping for nuts, seeds, chocolate chips or sweets
- Fruit – fresh fruit supplies are returning to our supermarkets or you could look for frozen fruit which work really well in our smoothie lollies recipe here.
- Reconstitute Evaporated Milk – our Evaporate Milk can easily by reconstituted by taking 1 cup Evaporated Milk to 1 ½ cups water. If you like it creamier – 1:1 will give you a richer flavour.
- No double cream – chill Evaporated Milk overnight then pour into a bowl and whisk for 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer – it will whip up to 3 times its original volume!
- No cookie cutters – cut round a beaker or glass or use a jam jar lid.
